CA(SA)
Ciara Reintjes is a recognised and experienced specialist in audit and assurance and is both a CA(SA) and a registered auditor. At SAICA, her team is responsible for auditor support, meeting the technical needs of both large audit firms and small- and medium-sized practices, professional ethics, legislation impacting the profession, and governance considerations for the profession.

Providing member value in the public interest is foremost.
She was previously a senior professional manager in the Standards Department of the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA), where she was employed for 12 years. Her team was responsible for standard-setting for registered auditors, considering both international pronouncements and local regulatory needs. Ciara also spent four years at Alexander Forbes, in its Retirement Funds Division, as a technical specialist. Her articles were served at KPMG in Windhoek, Namibia, and her alma mater is Wits University, where she graduated in 1998.
Ciara is a member of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board’s Project Advisory Panel to the Extended External Reporting Task Force, which is preparing assurance guidance on new forms of external reporting by entities, such as integrated reports. She is also the SAICA representative on the IRBA’s Committee for Auditing Standards and serves on several other industry committees.
